BEHIND OUR LOVE... CHAPTER 22

My throat constricted out of nervousness I couldn't talk, I just kept quiet and listened to all the insultive words they were calling me with, one thing am pretty sure is that the faith of our marriage rest on my shoulders as if I say yes its yes and No? God forbid I will never say no to our engagement, so they should call me all the names they wish and like I couldn't care less.

        As I was tired of listening to them especially Mer, I stood up and left without alerting them, yeah they were both calling my name but I didn't even turn, I stopped a taxi and shoved myself in without even glancing back. On reaching home, I saw mom watching news in the living room, and she welcomes me and beckoned me over. As I sat next to her she took my hands into hers and smiled, I smiled back.

           “You must be aware right?”

     I know where she's heading to but let me lie.

     “Aware of?” I pretend

      “Your engagement!” She screamed in delight.

    “Oh yeah I am” I blushed away. “Thats what even took me out today, James just dropped me now we sort of made some arrangements regarding the party.” I state confidently.

     “Wow! Am soo happy for you dear, your dad's not in town but he said he wouldn't miss your engagement for the world.”

“Aww! Thats so sweet of him. What of April?” I ask

“She? She's on vacation so she and her husband will be traveling overseas tomorrow she can't make it am sorry.”

“Ohh” I breathed, “am astounded nevertheless, we need to get my dress tomorrow right?” Waiting for confirmation from mom

“Yes sure darling” she state whilst smiling, “you need to rest now, you must be exhausted”

And without saying anything I walked off to my room and laid on my bed. James and Mer's horrible words start pouding on me, if only I can refuse James love, if only I can stop my heart from falling for him but I can't love is too strong, stronger than anything you could ever imagine of...

JAMES POV;

“Baby! I just got home now i'm even in the parking lot.”

“Wow!” Mer exclaims happily “I timed you accurately then, thanks for today, I love you.” Mer states

“And I love you more and more and more” I tease.

“Oh common babe” she's blushing I can sense that. “Am hanging up.”

I smiled to myself and quickly stopped the ignition and shoved myself outta my car. On reaching the living room I saw sitted mom with 2 ring packs on her laps she seems so happy and excited. “Come here baby” she beckoned me over well even if i've not been told I know she wants us to discuss about the so called engagement party. As I sat next to her I saw a new black shining suit on the chair beside me.

      “What's this mom?” I ask with furrowed eyebrows.

“This?” Picking it up she said “its your engagement wear, the suit you'll be wearing how fine is it? Its black, with a white shirt and A black tie I know how madly inlove with black you are, right?” Awaiting confirmation from me.

Only if I can tell you everything mom I would have but I don't want you to end up having an attack, because I know on telling you whats really going on between Izzy and I you might fall and get an attack and if that happens? I will never forgive myself.

  “Baby what are you thinking of?”

I faked a smile and lied “I'm kind of nervous mom you...”

Sbe cuts me off cupping my face, “you don't have to dear, mama will be right next to you. I'll handle everything all you need to do is to be handsome” she pinch me.

“Owww you know thats hurts” I pout

She smiled, “so did you do what I asked you too?”

“About?” I pretend as if I didn't get her.

“Are you for real James?” She punched me in the hand. “What did you guys decide? Or didn't you two met?”

“What are you saying mom? Ofcourse we met, she said everything you do will be appreciated.” I faked a smile.

“I'm looking forward to this engagement baby.” mom states astonishingly.

IZZY'S POV;

“Mom!” I called a little bit pissed off. “Common we need to get going we've been here for morethan 2 hours I told you, I don't like the blue one its so outdated I prefer the red” I pout stubbornly.

  Anything you say, all am saying is the red one is not decent its a little bit party-like”

“Common mom! Please its my engagement right? Is not as if i'll be hunting for a lover or something. Argh!”

“Okay okay, anything you say. Uh ma'am?” she beckoned the saleswoman over “bring us the red gown please.”  “Okay ma'am” she responded before wincing.

Some minutes after wards...

“Are you sure you've got all that you need? The earring, shoes, and everything you haven't forgotten anything right?”

“Yes mom everything is here” I state showing her the huge shopping bag in my hand and I smile.

“Okay then we good to go...”

On reaching home I made it straight to my room and dropped all the shoppings by the floor. I'm so tired we've been out since 8am and its already 2pm now gosh! Today is such a hectic day.

Believe me when I day this I seriously can't wait for tomorrow and guess why? Because definately he's going to kiss me. Yes! James is going to kiss me infront of everyone.

Omg! I throw myself back on my bed anytime this realisation hits my head  I feel like am the most happiest person on earth I can't help but rub my lips and grin like a fool alone!

The following day... My engagement day.

I woke up as early as possible as I can't keep calm its my engagement today, I invited all my friends as the engagement is going to take place in a hall, a well romantic decorated hall by my favorite colour red!

I can't wait to put on my flawless red mermaid gown, the most amazing part of the gown is the long never stopping flow. My makeup artist arrived just im time by 3pm as the event will be held by 5pm. The makeup took us about 1:40mins. I couldn't believe the me I was seeing in the mirror like is this me? I never knew I was this beautiful? God! Thank you.

    The MUA assist me and I wore my gown peacefully, she took off the hair rollers and I was just the defination of perfect and gorgeous.

When mum came in, she couldn't believe how ravishing I was looking also. She stepped forward and cupped my face, she can't help but smile.

“You drop something dear” she states

“Omg! Whats that mom?” My heart skipped a beat.

“My jaw, yes you dropped my jaw”

“Oh common mom” I can't help but blush.

“You're looking gorgeous infact way morethan gorgeous, you, your makeup, your dress, everything about you is just perfect.”

“Thank you mom! My eyes are filled with moisture now. You're making me cry now” I forced out a smile.

Oh please don't, don't ruin one of your best days', because today is a foundation to your happiness sweetie, lets hurry I don't want us to be late where are your jewelries?”

“Over there” I state whilst pointing at the left side drawer by my bed. She winced and brought them out, she got me all ready and showered desingnated perfumes on me as we approached the living room dad hugged me out of nowhere I hugged him back willingly and cheerfully.

“My princess is all grown up” dad said while putting back my hair in place.

“Aww! dad” I blush.

Lets hurry so we won't be late. He held my hands into his as we headed his new Range rover land rover.

We got to the venue by 5:00pm on the dot there were cameramen, papparazi everywhere i'm starting to feel nervous.

Huh! The next chapter will be James pov I can't wait to type it. Lets see how he is feeling towards the engagement, thrilled? Lol
