BEHIND OUR LOVE... CHAPTER 30

"Don't worry ma, I'll take care of her myself." I assured her.

"Oh okay then, is she right next to you so I can greet and condole her?"

"Yeahh..." I offered my hand for Izzy to grip on but it seems like she doesn't want to play the part of my games this time around and pretended as if she didn't get the message am trying to pass to her. "Err.. mom just hold on, I'll be in her room in the next 2minutes I just went to buy some medicine for her."

"Oh the poor girl, okay.",And I held the call and gave Izzy one fo my deadly glares. "Are you trying to cross me? Take the damn call and tell mom you're feeling much better before I do something you'll regret forever, and you know right i'm a man of my words."

I can see how my words are getting to her and how she got frightened all of a sudden, she wiped off her tears pathetically and I handed her the phone after putting it on handsfree.

"Hello mom..." She states glancing at me and I smirked.

"Izzy honey, am so so sorry for your lost, you are not alone we are all here for you dear..." Mom tries comforting her.
Moment of silence...
I muttered, "well? Aren't you going to talk?" With moisture filled in her eyes she says

"Thank you mom, I'm feeling much better now" and she wiped off some of the hung tears in her eyes.

"Gosh I mean how did it happen? Just yestarday you were fine."

Izzy stared at me not knowing what to say and I collected back the phone. "Uh mom" I lied, "the doctor said Izzy shouldn't be disturbed please, she needs to rest."

"Am sorry son I'm just carried away by my emotion how did it happen?
poor girl."

"Uh... Uhh" I tried making up stories. "you see Izzy is afraid of lizards so earlier today, after I left for work I forgot to lock the door and the lizard made it way in. So after she woke up from sleep and came to the living room she felt something towards her leg and there she saw the lizard ontop of her leg and because of how frightened she got, she miscarried our baby..." I state voice dropping condiderably and even faked a sob.

"Ohhh such a bad day, are you crying too? Please not in the presence of the poor girl..."

"Mom its all my fault had it been I locked the door properly nothing bad would have happened to my wife and our baby..." I state stealing galnaces at Izzy who just shook her head in a distress manner and averted her gaze.

"Its not your fault honey you didn't want this to happen either so stop blaming yourself..." She tries comforting me.

I snorted. "Thank you I need to get back to Izzy."

"Okay shower her with my love please..."

"I'll am hangin...."

She suddenly cuts me off. "What of aunt Alice, have you told her?"

I protested, "no you are the first person thats aware, I can't tell her this ma' I don't want her to think am careless..."

"Don't say that honey, she'll surely understand don't worry I'll talk to her you should just take care of Izzy okay?"

"Okay..." and I hung up and shoved my phone back inside my pocket glaring at Izzy that is just watching over the injuries I cursed whilst beating her.

"Hey" I called out and she averted her gaze to me. "Get me something to eat now." She instantly stood up and made her way to the kitchen.

I relaxed on a coach and brought out the remote control to my TV set from where I always hid it, I was watching CNN when my phone started ringing, its Mer calling. A bright smile shines on my face as I picked it up. "Hello babe"

"Hi baby" she greets back "I arrived just now, will come over later during the night."

"Okay will be waiting for you, I love you" and I hung up. I waited for Izzy to come out of the kitchen and in 30mins time she came out with a bowl held in her hand, as she made it to the dining area I called her over and she came shivering as if I was holding a gun. "Where are you taking the food to?"

She stammered "to.. To the dining."

"Am I not sitted here? Or do you expect me to leave what am doing here to go over? Mstw" I hissed.

"I'm sorry" she apologised with moisture filled in her eyes.

"Thats the everyday word "i'm sorry" sorry for yourself and not me." She kept the bowl on the centre table and brought water and everything for me. I watched her as she left the living room, just as she was about entering her room I called her name and she stopped. She turened and looked at me pathetically, her eyes were all swollen and red, tears dropping.

"Please just tell me whats wrong with the food and I'll ammend it don't throw it please." She pleads.

I laughed humorously I do like it, I like it how she fears me, it makes me feel like a boss.

"Oh sweetie nothing is wrong with the food only that you have work to do." I can see how she relieved she was. Nevertheless I have to tell her what to do before Mer arrives.

I cleared my throat first, "you know Mer hasn't been visiting for quite a while now huh?" On calling Mer's name her mood suddenly changed and she nodded solemnly. "Good girl" I praised her. "So she will be coming today, I want you to tidy up everywhere and cook something special for her, mind you don't mess with me. When I say cook I mean cook her something good, something that is meant for humans and not animals, get that?" It took her quite a while before she nodded tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Off you go, start by dusting the TV set you have not less than 2 hours to finish all I'll be in my room." And I shut the TV picked up my lunch and went to my room. It was tidy and everywhere smells so good just as it always have been. "I hope she didn't steal anything today." I state under my breath. After eating, I brought out my laptop and finished the work thats left for me. Izzy's mother called and condoled me, she asked where Izzy was and I told her she was sleeping the doctor said that she shouldn't be disturbed.

In 2 hours time I glimpse into the living room and saw everything was sparkling and I heard the sound of Izzy chopping in the kitchen I didn't mind thanking her because its her job she's doing she don't deserve any gratitude. Later that evening around 7:50pm I went and picked up Mer. I can't remember the last time I kissed her. Her lips are probably the best thing ever.

Not long enough we returned home and Izzy welcomes her as always or else she'll get it from me. She wanted to go to her room when I called her back and asked her to sit with us just so I can get her jealous. I know how Izzy is dumply blinded in love with me for all the tortures i've cursed her never once did she say she'll leave me, thats how she is so dump and don't know whats best for her.

Delibrately I started kissing Mer hungrily in the eyes of Izzy and Mer responded to my kiss without thinking twice about it. And when our eyes met with Izzy, I smirked at her and held Mer posessively into my arms again.

Since she was enduring the pain and ignoring us trying to pay more attention to the TV she couln't help it anymore and ran into her room slamming the door so hard. I smiled knowing that I've succeeded in making her feel jealous. And that was how Mer and I enjoyed each others conpany as we always does. And after that we ate and later on I took her back to the hotel she'll be staying for the time being.
